RWC 2011 - Africa Qualifier

1. Only the 14 IRB Members will participate (excluding South Africa)

4. For 2008 the teams will be divided into 4 Pools of 3 teams each.

5. Two (2) Pre-qualifier matches will be played between the 2 lowest ranked teams in the North and the 2 lowest ranked teams in the South with those 2 Winners making up the final composition of 12 teams and the 2 losers will join the Castel Beer competition in 2009.

RWC SEVENS 2009 - Qualifying Tournament

Men

1. This tournament will take place on 24 & 25 October 2008 in Tunis, Tunisia.

2. Three (3) teams will qualify from this tournament to play in the RWC Sevens in March 2009.

1. This tournament will take place in Kampala, Uganda in July 2008.

2. Two (2) teams will qualify from this tournament to participate in the RWC 7’s 2009 in Dubai in March 2009.

3. Invitations will be forwarded to the following countries:

Unions should be able to show that there are proper existing structures in place for Women’s Rugby and that they will be capable of fielding a competitive team in the tournament.

CAR Under 19 Tournament

1. This tournament takes place from 20 – 30 August 2008 in Tunis, Tunisia and is the qualification tournament to determine the other Africa representative in the IRB Junior World Trophy in 2009.

2. The 8 participating teams will be divided in 2 Pools of 4 teams each, which is as follows:

3. Teams will play 3 Round-robin in their respective pools to determine their pool standings.

4. The final matches will be played cross section i.e. A1 vs B1; A2 vs B2; A3 vs B3 and A4 vs B4 to determine the Tournament winner, as well as the final tournament standings.

CAR Under 18 Development Tournament

North: 10 – 12 July 2008 – Bamako, Mali

1. This will be a Sevens Tournament that will consist of one (1) day of matches and two (2) days of training for the coaches.

2. The following eight (8) teams will participate
